Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, driven and customer-focused Senior Project Manager to join our specialist joinery team, taking full ownership of high-end commercial CAT B fit-out projects from internal handover through to successful completion on site.
Based predominantly on client sites, with regular visits to our manufacturing facility in Bramling, Kent, you will be responsible for leading every stage of the joinery journey. Working closely with our Design, Production, Procurement and Installation teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the exceptional quality standards our clients expect.
This role requires a proactive leader with demonstrable experience managing bespoke joinery packages within premium commercial fit-out environments. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, building trusted relationships, driving collaboration and taking personal ownership of every aspect of project delivery.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make informed decisions, manage project risks and deliver outstanding customer service throughout the project lifecycle. Roles and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is the owner of every project from internal handover through to practical completion and final client sign-off. They are responsible for leading the complete joinery journey, ensuring seamless coordination between design, procurement, manufacture, logistics and installation whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience and maintaining the highest standards of quality, programme, safety and commercial performance.
The successful candidate will demonstrate proven experience in delivering high-end CAT B fit-out projects and possess a customer-first approach, taking personal ownership of every aspect of project delivery.
Project Ownership & Delivery
- Take full ownership of projects from internal handover through to completion, acting as the single point of accountability for successful delivery.
- Lead the project through every stage of the joinery process, ensuring seamless coordination between Design, Procurement, Production, Logistics and Installation.
- Develop, maintain and drive the project programme, identifying risks early and implementing mitigation measures to protect key milestones and completion dates.
- Ensure all project activities are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to the highest quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors and all project stakeholders.
- Attend and lead project meetings where required, ensuring clear minutes, actions and responsibilities are communicated and closed out promptly.
- Provide proactive project updates, weekly progress reports and recovery plans where necessary, ensuring clients always have confidence in the project’s status.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by responding promptly to issues, managing expectations and consistently exceeding client expectations.
Design & Technical Coordination
- Lead the design process from handover through to approval, ensuring drawings, samples and technical submissions are coordinated, reviewed and issued in accordance with programme requirements.
- Carry out site surveys and dimensional verification where required to ensure manufacturing information is accurate.
- Coordinate design reviews between internal teams, clients and consultants to minimise risk and eliminate errors before manufacture.
- Ensure all project documentation remains accurate, current and compliant with ISO 9001 procedures.
Production & Manufacturing
- Work closely with Production to ensure manufacturing programmes align with site requirements and client expectations.
- Maintain regular communication with manufacturing teams, proactively resolving issues that may impact programme, quality or delivery.
- Ensure delivery schedules are accurately maintained, communicated weekly and adjusted where necessary to suit project progress.
Installation & Site Management
- Plan and coordinate all installation activities to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality delivery on site.
- Prepare, review and issue all site-specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments in advance of installation, ensuring site teams receive all relevant documentation and briefings.
- Ensure all site operatives receive the necessary inductions and comply fully with client and company health and safety procedures.
- Lead site progress through regular inspections, maintaining close communication with Site Managers, subcontractors and installation teams to ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme and quality expectations.
Quality Assurance & Project Close Out
- Champion a “right first time” culture throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage internal quality inspections and self-snagging processes before client inspections take place.
- Take ownership of client snagging, ensuring all defects are resolved quickly, professionally and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Secure formal client sign-off and practical completion in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the completion and issue of Operation & Maintenance manuals and all project close-out documentation by the required deadlines.
Sustainability, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and management systems, including ISO 9001.
- Work alongside the Group ESG Manager to achieve project sustainability requirements including BREEAM, SKA and LEED accreditation.
- Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance throughout every project.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Foster collaborative working relationships across all departments and supply chain partners.
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.
- Review project performance, identifying lessons learned and implementing improvements to enhance future project delivery.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness in all decision-making, protecting project profitability whilst maintaining exceptional customer service.
- Undertake any additional duties reasonably requested by the Operations Manager or Directors in support of the business.
- To attend any site meetings as required ensuring minutes of these meeting are taken and communicated.
- Assist Operations Manager in the compilation of any project progress reports.
- Carry out site surveys to assist setting out as required.
- Assist with the compilation of site specific Method Statements & Risk Assessments and offer for Operations Managers review and ensure these are issued to client at least 1 week prior to site install starting. Also ensure a hard copy is sent to site with joinery so Site Manager can brief site fixers.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in purpose-made joinery & site installation.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills.

- Knowledge of health and safety requirements and regulations.
- Good timekeeping and a strong desire to meet delivery deadlines.

Position Details:
- Full-time position based on client sites with frequent visits to our state-of-the-art 23,000 sqft manufacturing facility and finishing studio.
