APPRENTICESHIPS
The majority of our team started their careers on the bench, with a joinery apprenticeship, and are all passionate about teaching the next generation of woodworkers in our community.
AN INTRODUCTION

Working with EKC Folkestone College we employ at least three apprentices at any one time, offering the choice of a traditional joinery or furniture manufacturing course. Apprenticeships are three years long and involve four days a week of hands-on experience at our Bramling Workshops and one day a week at college. We have a long-standing relationship with the tutors and are all committed to the success of the participants.

We are proud to offer a very varied programme, with in-house veneering and finishing on-site and the opportunity to experience each department, including design, manufacture and on-site installation. Candidates interested in a joinery apprenticeship should register with CITB, complete the entrance exam and then apply for a vacancy with an employer such as Denne Joinery. We have one intake a year and are actively recruiting between March and June for September’s registration. We ask interested candidates to submit a CV and cover letter. The shortlisted individuals will be invited for an interview and a two-day work experience in our workshop in Bramling. The successful applicant will start in August each year.
