ENVIRONMENT
It was important that we shaped our sustainable practices to benefit both the environment and our customers, so the latter could achieve their ESG goals & building certifications.
AN INTRODUCTION

We specialise in assisting our clients and building end-users to meet the requirements of environmental assessments. Our expertise supports certifications like BREEAM, LEED, WELL, and SKA by ensuring compliance with criteria such as legal timber sourcing, low volatile organic compound (VOC) finishes, and carbon tracking. As a joinery manufacturer, responsible timber procurement is central to our environmental approach, so our Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) chain-of-custody certification guarantees our ability to produce and trade FSC-certified products.

Our finishing processes prioritise indoor air quality, using water-based lacquer whenever feasible. When alternative finishes are required, we’re always transparent and disclose VOC emission levels, adhering to the EU Paints Directive.

As a team, we minimise our carbon footprint by consolidating deliveries and favouring virtual meetings. We also engage in upcycling projects, both for clients and ourselves. We only use energy-efficient LED lighting and work closely with Thanet Waste to ensure we achieve zero waste going to landfill.

These initiatives underscore our commitment to sustainability across all aspects of our operations.
