Current Vacancy – Operations Manager

Denne Joinery are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join our team.

The role will involve the planning, organisation, and management of the Company’s design department and workshop operational activities to ensure both internal and external customer needs are met in accordance with cost plans, required delivery dates and to the defined specification & quality standards. You will also be responsible for day-to-day health and safety within the workshop / spray shop environments.

The candidate should be uncomfortable with accepting sub-standard processes and performance. A desire and aptitude for developing and coaching others is crucial to ensure the capability of the business operations is enhanced and taken to higher levels and to provide long term stability. You will hold and demonstrate excellent communication skills, excellent Judgement and decision making, the ability to undertake capacity planning and scheduling to control work processes, demonstrate excellent organisational skills and show strong leadership and motivational skills.

The candidate should be organised, disciplined, confident, professional, self-motivated, results-driven, quality focused, team focused and must remain calm under pressure. You should also be team-focused with a inquisitive and open mind, a flexible can-do attitude and be fully committed to the role and the business.

The candidate should have planning / problem solving experience within a joinery business; have the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team; have knowledge of the Industry; hold a relevant technical Joinery qualification; have a detailed knowledge of the plant, machinery and processes used within a joinery workshop; have knowledge of contract costing methodology; be computer literate – Excel, Outlook, Scheduler; hold general commercial awareness skills; have knowledge or experience of capacity planning and scheduling and have knowledge of manufacturing improvement techniques. Health & safety knowledge (IOSH or similar) is advantageous, but training can be offered.

The role is based at our factory in Bramling, Canterbury but you may be required to visit other sites / supplier premises when required.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm but additional hours may be required when the need arises.

Annual salary will be negotiable depending on experience. Annual leave of 25 days per annum + bank holidays; incentive / rewards scheme offered alongside auto-enroll pension after successful completion of probation.
