Denne Joinery is now B Corp™ Certified: A new milestone in responsible growth

Achieving B Corp™ Certification is an important milestone for Denne Joinery, but it is also the beginning of a longer journey.
As part of Bramling Workshops, becoming B Corp™ Certified represents an important milestone for Denne Joinery and reflects a wider commitment to building a more responsible, accountable and sustainable business.
With over 220 years of craftsmanship behind the business, we have always understood the importance of doing things properly. That means producing exceptional joinery, investing in the people and skills behind it and creating work that is built to last.
I am incredibly proud that our B Corp Certification recognises the progress being made across this business and the positive steps our team has made. More importantly, it strengthens our accountability and gives us a shared framework for responsible growth, helping us make better decisions for our people, our clients, our communities and the environment.
Together, we are proud of what has been achieved, but certification is not an end point or a claim that every challenge has been solved. That point is important.
Bespoke joinery is a manufacturing process. It requires materials, energy, transportation and resources, and there is no value in pretending otherwise. For us, responsibility starts with acknowledging those impacts and understanding where we can make a meaningful difference.
There is a natural connection between responsible business and the way we approach joinery. We make bespoke commercial interiors to last. Quality, care and longevity have always been central to our work and the decisions we make today should reflect the long-term nature of what we produce.
Our commitment to responsible procurement and processes isn’t anything new, with our B Corp Certification standing proudly alongside our Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) chain-of-custody certification, which guarantees our ability to produce and trade FSC®-certified products.
I am acutely aware that having B Corp Certification doesn’t mean we have all the answers. It means continuing to ask the right questions. Where can we make better choices around materials? How can we improve the way we manufacture? Where can we reduce our environmental impact? How do we continue to develop our people and skills? And how can we make sure that the business we build today is one that can continue to thrive in the future?
I am delighted that we are continuing to invest in our people and skills, making increasingly responsible choices around materials and manufacturing, reducing our environmental impact and creating exceptional joinery that is made to stand the test of time.
B Corp Certification gives us a framework to keep having those conversations and, importantly, to hold ourselves accountable for the decisions we make.
We are proud of what has been achieved. But for Denne Joinery, the real value of certification will be in what we do next.
