Community Commitment: Supporting the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust

Denne Joinery proudly contributed to the pro-bono team, led by BW: Workplace Experts, Gensler, and LBA to deliver Your Space – an evolution of the design of the Stephen Lawrence Centre in Deptford, London.
Denne Joinery demonstrated its commitment to community by participating in the Your Space project, a mindful co-working initiative developed by the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust. As part of a pro-bono team led by BW: Workplace Experts, Gensler, and LBA, Denne Joinery joined 48 subcontractors and 34 suppliers who donated their time and expertise to deliver Your Space at the Stephen Lawrence Centre in Deptford, London.
Your Space represents an evolution of the Stephen Lawrence Centre, offering an environment designed to empower, inspire, and support its users. Denne Joinery’s contribution included the design, manufacture and donation of a bespoke co-working desk to enhance this innovative workspace.
The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust plays a vital role in empowering young people, aged 13 to 30, from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue successful careers. Additionally, the Trust advocates for a fairer society where everyone, regardless of background, can flourish.
Your Space was launched on 15 May 2018, a significant milestone for the Trust as it represents the 25th anniversary of Stephen’s tragic murder and the 20th anniversary of the Trust’s founding. We are honoured to have been involved in such a meaningful community project and for having the opportunity to work with the collaborative team.
