Our journey with ArcelorMittal and L K Advisors began in November 2023, collaborating with our repeat client Overbury and the architect Hassell to provide bespoke joinery, creating three exceptional workspaces in Mayfair within a year.

SWING SPACE

Located in Berkeley Square House, in Mayfair, London, the scheme comprised three projects. The first, known as Swing Space on level five, was to create a workplace for Mr. Mittal and his associates while work is undertaken in their office later in the year.

While the Mittal family will ultimately be relocating to level seven once complete in late 2024, no expense was spared on the swing space, providing a showcase as to what was to come on the next two projects.

Our scope involved crafting a bespoke vanity unit, a kitchen, a trolley and multiple cupboards. We collaborated with the architect, Hassell, to select the perfect finish – a straight grain, quarter oak veneer – and demonstrate the veneering process. We also sourced a beautiful marble stone from Italy for the counters.

L K ADVISORS

Our second project, also located on level five of the same building, was to provide bespoke joinery for L K Advisors, ArcelorMittal’s financial advisors. The joinery design process started in early January 2024 and the project was completed at the end of May.

Our craftsmanship can be seen throughout the workspace in the reception, refreshment areas and collaboration spaces. All joinery was designed and manufactured to an exceptional standard, continuing the oak veneer throughout and adding gold finishes to the skirting, capping and panelling.

The majority of our joinery was installed overnight due to noisy working restrictions. Another challenge we overcame was the size of the access lift. As it was on the smaller side, we designed our joinery, particularly the reception desk in multiple parts to be assembled once on-site.

THE MITTAL FAMILY OFFICE

The final project in the scheme, due to be completed in Autumn 2024, is the high-quality joinery for level seven, which will be the Mittal family office. We started designing the joinery in March 2024 and began a 14-week manufacturing period in June.

As the largest of the three projects, our scope is extensive, comprising credenzas and AV walls for six principal suites, multiple kitchens, two reception desks, vanity units for two bathrooms and an impressive 32m storage wall. We will be using crown-cut walnut, blackened steel and bespoke ironmongery.
